-PEL days have reverted back to Sick days and will follow the Fiscal year ( instead of Calendar year).
–2 paid Sick days for Part-time staff
–2.5 extra Sick days for Full Time staff for this current Fiscal year (to bridge the gap from Jan 2022 to when the CA was ratified)
-$127 signing bonus for all current staff
-%1 wage increase as per Bill 124 for 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023
-Weekend Shift Premium $00.10 per hour (between the hours of 7am-10pm for Saturdays and Sundays
-New STAT Day September 30th (Truth and Reconciliation)

The bargaining team had recommended an offer for ratification. There was a Special General Members’ Meeting in person to discuss the offer on Wednesday, May 25th from 8:30am to 7:30pm. The ratification vote took place in person and began on Wednesday, May 25th at 8:30am. Voting for CUPE Local 5284 Ratification closed on Wednesday, May 25th at 7:30pm with the Executive team, CUPE Rep and 2 scrutineers.
